JUN 03
Ogilvy Melbourne (including DTDigital, BADJAR Ogilvy and OgilvyOne) is making news on location-based social network Foursquare.

At an agency event on 2 June 2010, over 265 Ogilvy team members and friends checked into Foursquare, earning them an Australian check-in record. Ogilvy also earned a Foursquare Super Swarm badge, a status earned at only six locations worldwide. Ogilvy Melbourne learned after the event that it had missed the world record by only a few hours since U.S. talk show host Conan O'Brien organised a "swarm" at New York's Radio City Music Hall the previous day. “If we had known we were taking on O’Brien, we would have reconsidered the confetti budget. Of course the event wasn’t just about the record, but demonstrating through action, the potential of emerging technology, “ explained Brian Vella, DTDigital and OgilvyOne’s general Manager.
